AROUND THE WORLD by lisa roberts PHOTOGRaphylisa roberts PHOTOGRaphy

I am lucky to have travelled to many countries around the world and this gallery showcases my favourite images from some of the places I've visited.

I have only just made this page so please pop back to see more galleries as I will be adding lots more over the next few weeks.

AUSTRALIA - 2016/2017

Wild koala, Victoria, Australia

Wild koala, Victoria, Australia

In December 2016, Lee and I were fortunate to take a 4 week, 3,500 mile road trip across Australia from Sydney to Perth. It was an amazing experience; we got to see some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way and after travelling the width of this country (continent) by road we got to realise just how truly HUGE Australia is. If you would like to see a detailed description of our travels in full, please see My Travel Blog on the Main Menu.

INDIA - 2017

Street barber, Delhi, India

I visited India with Lee for the first time in January this year & in the few days we spent there, we both fell in love with the colour & chaos of this fascinating country.

The images in the gallery were taken in Delhi & Agra and on the journey between the 2 cities.

SOUTH AFRICA - 2008

Table Mountain, South Africa

Table Mountain, South Africa

This trip was taken in 2008 with one of my first digital cameras so the quality is not fantastic and the underwater shark images are from a cheap film camera but I hope they give an idea of the beauty and diversity of this beautiful country. Despite it's troubled political history, in 2003 I travelled with my son & ex-husband down the length of the country from Johannesburg to his family in Port Elizabeth on the Southern coast and in 2008 we started from Cape Town and drove to the family in PE via the Garden route and at no point did we feel scared or threatened. The people of South Africa are friendly and welcoming; the wildlife is everywhere in abundance and it remains one of my favourite countries in the world.

FRANCE 2015 & 2017

I have been to France during the winter and the summer and love the country for it's quiet roads, stunning buildings and beautiful countryside. The abandoned burnt out village featured half way is Oradour-Sur-Glane, the sight of a terrible massacre carried out by the Nazis against the predominantly Jewish community in the 2nd World War. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oradour-sur-Glane_massacre
